Artist Trips & Workshops
Each year or so, Bill and Marguerite Burgin arrange group trips for artists and photographers to exciting places. In past years, the groups have traveled to Mexico, Sedona, AZ, Santa Fe, NM, and Ogunquit, ME.
Outstanding artists selected from the area teach painting and Bill teaches basic photography and oil pastel painting. Spouses and friends also are invited. The cost is held to a minimum. Air transportation, airport transfer, hotel, baggage handling, tuition, and sometimes even local transportation are included for $900.00 to $1,500.00 for 7-9 days.
The trip for 2007 is September 9-15 to Door County, WI, the New-England type of resort area on the peninsula that juts out into Lake Michigan above Green Bay. There are many quaint art communities, galleries, lighthouses, beaches, golf courses, and marinas there. We will be staying in the village of Fish Creek at the Cedar Court Inn which is located a block from the marina and a leisurely stroll to seven local restaurants and shopping. Our Workshop leader in pastel, oil, and watermedia, is Emmett Johns, a world-class painter, at the Peninsula Art School nearby.
